Meet the "back office!" When things get a little quiet (or even hectic) at The Compass Company, we often take a break with Edie (yellow dog) and Vader (black dog). They are usually up for a walk, a run, a chew on something, or a ride to Federal Express and UPS.
For those of you who have followed the story of Vader- he is the 12 year old Black Lab we raised for Guiding Eyes for The Blind. Vader was 'in service' from 2002 until 2005 but has long since 'retired.' We were happy to welcome him back to The Compass Company and to our lives. He had no trouble adapting to early retirement and spends his days basking in the sun and swimming with his old friend Edie.

If it can be said that every dog has his day, then surely Edie had more than her fair share...She remains the undefeated champion of water kong retrieval. Many challenged, though none succeeded, at beating her to the kong... Simply the fastest lab I've ever seen. She was the best of friends. |
